The origin
Five days' walk into the depths of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Samila Cifuentes was born, immersed among the four ancestral cultures of the Indigenous peoples who inhabit it. During her childhood and adolescence she received a deep education in the Kogui culture, growing up with a self-sustaining way of life that did not depend on the modern structures of Western society. She learned, from the source, the principles of natural medicine, the wisdom of food, balance, awareness, and a spiritual worldview entirely different from the Western one.
Years later, her path led her to live in Colombia's capital and, later, in Europe. This transition gave her a unique perspective and awakened a vision
Being Genn
This vision, forged by the deep contrast between “both worlds,” is centered on the need to create a place for integral health and restoration. Samila understood that true wellbeing is neither a momentary physical escape nor a superficial pause; true wellbeing requires returning to the origin.
In a society where we live unsatisfied, fragmented by the system, exhausted from sustaining something we are not and from chasing things we do not need, we have forgotten our original design in the rush of this system. Genn is our answer: a space intentionally created to switch off this noise and foster the reunion with our Creator; He is the way, the truth, and the life. More than an escape, it is a pause to remember our original design and equip ourselves.
